It was very clean & the lobby/ bar were very modern. It wasn't an overall terrible experience. We chose this hotel because of a few recommendations. My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon stay at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. The island is beautiful however if you plan on staying on the adult only side ( The flamingo side) prepare to walk. Since the hotel is not on the beach you have to take a 10-15 minute boat ride to their private island. The gym facilities are very clean & nice ( Located on the adult resort) The small eats by the pool were tasty and average priced. The staff wasn't very attentive or friendly. The drinks were delicious however I suggest you order 2 at a time because even at an empty bar you had to wait at least 20 minutes for a drink. The family side which is about a 7 minute walk had a large pool area & a swim up bar. the Adults only resort had a very SMALL pool which was pretty but not practical. We stood on the adult only side but spent most of our time across the street at the family resort. The hotel also had a mall which was nice if you're into expensive things such as Gucci, LV, Furla, BCBG etc. The rooms were pretty basic pretty outdated decor & small.
